The Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals who are exceptionally bright and motivated with an established record of independent high quality research and commitment to teaching for faculty positions in all disciplines of interest to the Institute in the following departments:
"Mathematics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Computer Engineering", Agricultural engineering.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
- Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 3 years industrial/research/teaching experience.
- Lecturer: B.Tech with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout.
An outstanding engineer/technologist working in industry and with established reputation, and who has made significant contribution to knowledge but not having a Ph.D. degree could also be considered for appointment to the post of Associate Professor/Professor on contract basis. Such appointment will be made only sparingly and in extremely deserving cases with the approval of Chairman & Governing Council.
